Easter Weekend in CO Kerry

Over Easter weekend we drove out to Killarney in County Kerry . We finally saw the "Ring of Kerry," which is a scenic road around the perimeter of the Kerry peninsula.

You'll see a castle-looking structure in these photos. Those are from the Rock of Cashel, in County Tipperary. It was a pretty impressive sort of 1000 year old base of operations for monks and bishops. Looks like just the spot to build a fort. A rather obvious sort of rocky hillock that looks like you'd have the dickens of a time were you to try to assault it.

This message is for Whiskey--were you on the trip too? Why no pictures?
We went to Cashel in 2004 (John, Kelly, Dad and Katie) and enjoyed it too.

No, the Hero Dog of the Republic was left in a kennel. We didn't like that, but it was nice not to have to deal with the down side of having the dog around.
